CPSI, Ltd., the leading provider in Schools Interoperability Framework (SIF) Association standard solutions for K-12 school districts and states, is proud to announce the certification of the xDBroker and offer the license for no cost to school districts and state education agencies.  The xDBroker accommodates the latest version of the SIF Framework, SIF 3.x, a complete re-design of the framework from the ground up. As part of the re-design, the architecture of SIF has changed. The new design of SIF 3 implements a concept of Broker and Consumer as opposed to ZIS and Agent in previous versions. Brokered implementations have significant advantages over non-brokered, or Brokerless, implementations. The xDBroker provides the flexibility to connect to any SIF 3 Consumer and Provider so the SIF implementation is as robust as the data within the district or state.

The xDBroker must follow the SIF Association (SIFA) conformance requirements.  To use the SIF certified logo, each company must support a yearly ‘conformance statement’ that indicates they will continue to keep their software in compliance with the specification. A SIF solution can deliver this data in real time, not just a one-time collection of static data that is useless the next day. See the xDBroker Conformance Statement on the SIFA Certification Registry at http://cert.sifassociation.org/SitePages/CertificationRegistry.aspx.

“CPSI is proud to be the leader in SIF certification. We firmly believe that the SIF standard is a great solution for K-12. The xDBroker certification re-enforces the fact that our products follow the Specification to the fullest extent,” said CPSI President, Michelle Elia. “As part of our continued support for SIF, we will offer the xDBroker license at no cost to districts and states as we have for our xDZIS since 2008.”

To take advantage of this offer, please visit the CPSI web site at http://www.cpsiltd.com/free-xdzis-xdbroker/ and submit your form or contact us at [email protected]. The xDBroker speeds up the time it takes to get a SIF 3 implementation or even a mixed SIF environment up and running. You can even combine K-12 data standards with our products. The CPSI solution provides everyone in the district or state – from students to teachers to superintendents – with the underlying foundation to provide up-to-date and “trustworthy” information in all of the applications they use.
